Our Story

Dreamy Crypt began in 2020 when our founder, after relocating to Bristol, spent frustrating weeks figuring out basic home setup tasks that should have been straightforward. Which energy supplier to choose. How to arrange furniture in rooms with unusual dimensions. Where to buy affordable essentials. Why the home felt so cold despite the heating being on.

These weren't complex problems, but they consumed enormous mental energy during an already stressful transition. Existing resources either assumed too much knowledge of British systems or offered generic advice that didn't apply to UK housing realities.

After helping several friends navigate similar challenges, a pattern emerged: newcomers needed practical, specific guidance rooted in actual UK living experience. Not theory, not assumptions, but real answers to everyday questions.

What started as informal help evolved into structured guidance. We documented common challenges, tested solutions, built relationships with helpful suppliers, and learned which advice genuinely helped people feel settled faster.

Six years later, we've supported over 850 families across the UK. Our approach remains fundamentally unchanged: listen carefully, provide practical guidance, and be available when questions arise.
